Mechatronics Program

History

The Mechatronics Program has been continuing its education and training activities under the Department of Machinery and Metal Technologies since the 2020-2021 academic year.

Degree Earned

Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive an associate degree in Mechatronics (title of Mechatronics Technician).

Acceptance Conditions

Turkish citizens must complete the processes determined by ÖSYM within the framework of our university's academic and legal regulations / pass the exams. A student who has started his/her education in an equivalent program in Turkey or abroad can apply for horizontal transfer. The acceptance of students is examined and evaluated individually before the semester starts, considering the conditions of each student and the degree he/she applied for.

Moving to the Upper Level

Those who successfully complete the Mechatronics program can transfer to the undergraduate program when they get the required score in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM. Our graduates can make vertical transfer to Mechatronics Engineering undergraduate programs.

Graduation Requirements

In order for the student to graduate, he/she must be successful in all courses (120 ECTS) and have a minimum Weighted General Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00/4.00. In addition, the student must have completed a 36-day Professional Internship and been accepted.

Graduate Employment Opportunities

Graduates can work as technicians in all production processes related to mechatronics. They also take on responsibilities and duties in many areas such as mechatronics research and development, product design (electrical, electronic, mechanical software), manufacturing, quality control and maintenance.

Measurement and Evaluation

Students are given the right to take 3 exams each semester: Midterm Exam, End of Term Exam and Supplemental Exam. Student success is evaluated according to the Relative Evaluation System.
